We continue our work for the people of Afghanistan

Kolding, Denmark, 28 January; 2022

The head of the World Food Programme has described the situation unfolding in Afghanistan as “the worst humanitarian crisis on earth”.

The situation is further compounded by a collapsing economy and rising poverty, and a harsh winter season already in its way, the situation is getting more desperate by the day.

22 million people – more than half of the population – are facing acute food and health insecurity in the next three months. Help is needed now.

Now, as always, we remain committed to the people of Afghanistan and we will do our part to provide assistance, especially to the most vulnerable. In cooperation with the international community, we continue our work to deliver Hygiene and Dignity kits to the people of Afghanistan.
