Empowering Afghan Women Through Period Relief

 

As we mark two years since Taliban's return to power in Afghanistan, it's important to shed light on the resilience and determination of Afghan women in the face of unprecedented change.

One of the strong women we want to highlight is Arezo Osmani. Faced with the resurgence of the Taliban, numerous avenues for women's work and education were abruptly restricted. Arezo faced the uncertainty head-on and, though she had to briefly close her business, she reopened its doors to provide a space where women could still work. She is an example of the strength the Afghan women possess in the midst of the adversity.

We are inspired by women like Arezo. And we are committed to making a difference in the lives of Afghan women, even in the face of complex realities. Through our reusable sanitary pads initiative, we are not only providing menstrual relief but also creating jobs in Kabul. Despite economic hardships, our focus on supporting Afghan women remains steadfast.
