Listen to the song from engaged people in Liberia. Menstrual Hygiene is NOT tabu

Kolding, Denmark, 2 July 2021

The National HeForShe Crusaders of Liberia is a non-profit organization that gained legal status in 2017. The organization was established with the purpose of advocating for the rights of women and girls and at the same time engage men to end gender-based violence in Liberia.

HeForShe is a key player to the UN Spotlight Initiatives in Liberia and implementing partners of The Ministry of Gender, UN-Women, Plan International and FORUMCIV.

In Bong County, HeForShe is implementing a pillar project on menstrual hygiene management. The project is funded by FORUMCIV, Liberia.

“As part of the HeForShe's implementation strategy, the song was produced to raise rapid awareness on menstrual hygiene management. From assessment, it is believed that one half of the world listen to music as a mean of finding a cure for stress and education purposes. The music was also produced to meet the need of auditory learners in society.  Above all, HeForShe believes that the music will fast-track the message to everyone despite their location and help break the silence surrounding menstruation” - Alex P. Johnson, project and county coordinator of Bong County, Liberia.
