Annette Celebrates Her 60th Birthday by Empowering Girls in Kenya

Saturday, 14th June 2025

Our very own Annette is currently in Kenya  [🇰🇪]  – and she’s chosen to mark a very special milestone in the most meaningful way.

To celebrate her 60th birthday, Annette donated reusable Safepad menstrual kits to over 100 girls in Dandora, one of Nairobi’s most densely populated informal settlements. Her generous gesture is helping girls manage their periods safely, with dignity and confidence.  💪🏾 💗

The donation was more than just a distribution of products. The girls also participated in menstrual health education sessions, equipping them with vital knowledge about their bodies, hygiene, and rights. Many of the girls are part of the Johanna Omollo Foundation’s football team, and thanks to this support, they no longer have to miss out on school or sports because of their periods.

At Real Relief, we believe that menstrual health is a right, not a privilege – and Annette’s act of kindness shows just how impactful one person’s commitment can be.

We’re incredibly proud of you, Annette! Thank you for inspiring us all  👏🏾 🎉
