Another powerful milestone: The Danish Premiere of IMPURE

On April 12, IMPURE had its Danish Premiere at the Cinemateket in Copenhagen, as part of the Global Health Film Days organized by the University of Copenhagen (Københavns Universitet).  It was an incredible honor to present the film at this inspiring festival, supported by Real Relief and Sex & Samfund / Danish Family Planning Association.  The screening was met with profound responses from the audience, many of whom stayed afterward for a Q&A session with Director Rico Herre and Cinematographer Ignacio Hennigs, who were both present to share insights about the making of IMPURE and the stories behind the film.

Following the Q&A, we had the privilege of joining a fantastic workshop organized by Maria Fernanda Soto Piedra and her foundation BeLuna. The workshop sparked an important and lively discussion about the controversies surrounding the depiction of periods in media. And, most importantly, how we can challenge and change the narrative for future generations.
A special thank you to Trine Angeline Sig from Real Relief and Kristine Mærkedahl Jensen from Sex & Samfund for their outstanding support in making the logistical challenges of this event possible. Copenhagen, thank you for your warmth, your openness, and your commitment to change.

We're just getting started, and we’re ready to amplify the impact. One premiere at a time, the conversation grows louder.
