Real Relief Showcases Menstrual Health Innovations at AidEx Nairobi

12 June 2025 – Nairobi, Kenya

Real Relief is thrilled to be part of AidEx Nairobi 2025, where key players in humanitarian aid and development are coming together to shape the future of response and resilience in East Africa.

Hosted at the Safari Park Hotel, this year’s event brings two days of powerful dialogue, innovation, and collaboration — and we’re proud to be right in the heart of it at Stand 40/H in the Danish Pavilion.

Meeting the Moment with Local Solutions

Led by Annette Braae and Muna Mohamed, the Real Relief team is on the ground to present our mission and innovations in menstrual health and sustainable development. With a strong presence in East Africa, we’re focused on scaling solutions that work in real-world conditions and meet the needs of girls and women across the region.

What We’re Showcasing

At AidEx Nairobi, we’re spotlighting two of our most impactful products:

  • Safepad – Our reusable, antimicrobial sanitary pad that is now locally produced in East Africa. Designed for durability, hygiene, and dignity, Safepad offers an affordable and eco-conscious alternative for menstrual health management.
  • Gopad – The world’s first biotransformable disposable sanitary pad, developed to degrade safely in unmanaged environments — tackling both menstrual health and plastic waste challenges head-on.

Both products embody our commitment to innovation, dignity, and environmental responsibility — values we believe must be at the core of humanitarian response.

Shaping the Future, Together

AidEx Nairobi is a vital platform for sharing ideas and forging partnerships that make a difference. We’re honoured to engage with fellow practitioners, donors, and innovators to accelerate progress on gender equity, sustainability, and health access in East Africa and beyond.
