Pad distribution and menstrual health education in Zanzibar
On February 19, Real Relief were participants in a Menstrual Health and Hygiene outreach event at Jendele Secondary School in Zanzibar, Tanzania. Trine Angeline Sig, attended together with her family to support the important work of improving menstrual health awareness and access for schoolgirls.

The event, organized in collaboration with Pendo Daudi and her dedicated team at WCSWA - Tanzania, combined menstrual health education with the distribution of Safepad™ reusable pads. Through open dialogue and practical support, the event aimed to break taboos, reduce stigma, and help girls remain in school with dignity and confi dence.
We were also privileged to be joined by Honorable Minister Anna Athanas Paul, Zanzibar’s Minister for Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children. Her presence underscored the importance of advancing gender equality and empowering girls through education.
We extend our gratitude to Pendo Daudi and her team, and to Hon. Minister Anna Athanas Paul for supporting this vital initiative.
